SYNOPSIS
In a warring period in feudal Japan, Nobunaga Oda is in his quest to pacify and unify the country under his rule. However, there is one domain that he forbids to lay a hand on, that land of the Iga ninja, where they assassinate anyone for money, and money only. Among the ninja of Iga, none has greater skill than the one they call Mumon, ‘No Gate’, as there shall be no gate remains barred before him.
In the fall of the year Tensho 7, Nobunaga’s second son, Nobukatsu Oda, decides to ignore his father’s orders and attack the Iga country, partly encouraged by Taizen Heki, a man who had once turned on his master and was now employed as a vassal of Nobukatsu. Heibe Shimoyama, whose brother had been killed by Mumon also seeks revenge on the 12 Iga ninja core, including Sandayu Momoji and Kai Shimoyama. Amid various colliding interests and schemes, ultimately, a major bloody showdown is coming between Oda’s army and the Iga ninja.

Shinobi no Kuni was released in Japan on July 1, 2017 and was shown at the 20th Shanghai International Film festival, held from June 17th to June 26th. Furthermore, this movie had its North American debut at the Toronto Japanese Film Festival on June 28, 2017 as well as US premier at the Japan Cuts Film Festival on June 28, 2017. Moreover, Shinobi no Kuni recently have its Quebec premier at the Fantasia International Film Festival on July 30, 2017.
Unfortunately, Shinobi no Kuni or Mumon – The Land of Stealth is yet to set its Southeast Asia premier nor Malaysia premier. However, the Odex Private Limited has confirmed to bring this remarkable battle on screen, without any official date release yet.
